Digital Printing's Dynamic Duo Creates Graphics for Gotham City

Since 2008, South Shore Signs & Graphics’ dynamic duo of Cladio Juliano and Steve Tague has been keeping Gotham City looking its best. South Shore Signs & Graphics is located in Center Moriches, New York — a convenient place from which to create some of New York’s most eye-catching graphics.

Selecting digital printing equipment for their new shop was a priority. Before moving into graphic design full time, Cladio had played in a band using Roland’s musical equipment. “I knew Roland’s technology would be excellent,” said Cladio. “We bought a VersaCAMM and set up shop.”

The Roland VersaCAMM VP-540 54-inch wide format digital printer/cutter seemed like the obvious choice. They were impressed by its versatility and ease of use, along with its low maintenance requirements.

Soon after they opened, South Shore started landing accounts in the film industry, creating graphics for “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Wolf of Wall Street,” “Something Borrowed” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”

“For us, our Roland is the star,” said Cladio. They rely on Roland’s high quality printing to guarantee box office-quality results. Cladio also cites the VersaCAMM’s speed and accurate automated cutting as critical features for the work they do.

In addition to film and television projects, South Shore provides complete branding packages for local businesses including logo design, vehicle and wall graphics, posters, decals, banners and custom signage.

To guarantee the highest quality color output, South Shore relies exclusively on Roland inks and uses the Roland Color system for spot color matching. “I’ve been able to hit any color I want without tweaking anything,” said Cladio.
