Wrap One or Wrap ‘em All: Vehicle Graphics Shop Specializes in Made-to-Order Success

Wrap One in Anaheim, California started back in 2006 with a simple request. A client asked Alex Perez if his sign shop could put large graphics on a vehicle. Alex said yes, and soon his clients began asking if he could cover the whole car? “We knew we were on to something,” said Perez. 

Now, Wrap One operates with a crew of seven in a 2,500-square-foot facility. They focus on wrapping fleets, food trucks and service vehicles, wrapping anywhere from one to 35 vehicles per project.  

To handle all of their graphics printing, Perez chose Roland’s wide format digital printing equipment for its quality and reliability – first purchasing a Roland SOLJET XC-540, later followed by the XR-640 64-inch SOLJET. “The SOLJETs are workhorses – still going strong after all these years,” he said.

“When I work with my Rolands, I think to myself, ‘This is how it should be.’ ”

The quality of Wrap One’s design and production work has earned them several high-profile clients. Each year they wrap the pace cars, walls and pillars for the Fontana Speedway. They also wrap vehicles for Disney, and wrap the service and parking lot vehicles for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as well as the new SUVs given to out to the players.  

In addition, Wrap One was featured on the History Channel’s Modern Marvels–designing, printing and installing a colorful wrap for a Macaroni & Cheese food truck. 

To keep its quality consistent, Wrap One relies exclusively on Roland inks.  “We tried the other third party stuff early on but the quality was no good,” he said. “Now we use Roland inks and everybody sleeps at night.”

Perez also appreciates the low maintenance and ease of use of his Roland equipment.  “I’ve had other equipment that I had to wait 30-40 minutes for it to warm up,” said Perez.  “When I work with my Rolands, I think to myself, ‘This is how it should be.’ ”
